Abstract
This research is conducted to identify the competencies among the teachers of the SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir based on the pedagogic competency, personality competency, social competency, and professional competency. Besides that, the aim of this research is to know the influences of competency toward the work performance of the teachers of SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir. Data gathered in this research are examined using descriptive analysis and linear regression analysis. The independent variable (X) of this research is the teacher competency while the dependent variable (Y) is teacher performance. Descriptive analysis shows that on average, the teacher?scompetencies that consist of pedagogic competency, personality competency, social competency, and professional competency are good. The result oflinear regression analysis shows that there are positive relationship between competency and work performance, and competency influence the work performance at 65.1%.
