Abstract
The Penomenon of competitiveness and efficiency has always been and infortant topic to be discussed, particularly in relation to the development of the industrial sector. one small industries which interesting to studied is rattan furniture in the city of Palembang the recearh study adopts the cobb Douglas Production function to see alokatif Effeciency and the level of rattan furniture industry data used consisted,of the secondary and primary data the Variables measured were output furniture, rattan inputs labort and production equipment sample are 25 respondents spread in District Ilir Timur II and III Ilir as rattan furniture industry center Sampling method with stratified and simple random sampling. Based on calculations by multiple regresiobn analysis that the input variables rattan , labor and production eguipment were significant influence on the rattan furniture industry output at the level of 5% However the use of Production factors were not yet optimal, so that allocative efficiency has not been reached. As for the analisis of retun approach profts through cost ratio (RC ratio) indicates that the rattan furniture industry is profitable and feasible to be developed.
