Abstract
The writing of this article is focused on the Legal Protection of Notary toward bad faith carried out by client. The crimes that often occur in the legal profession are one of the notary professions. Notaries are often involved in legal cases both as witnesses and suspects. Notary involvement in legal cases is caused by errors in the deed he made, because of the Notary's own mistakes or the mistakes whether one of the parties who did not provide actual information or documents (the presence of bad faith from the client) which causes harm to the other party. It is difficult to prove the intention of client, because faith as trust, firm conviction, intention, a willingness that exists in oneself that is difficult to predict and interpret by someone. Therefore a legal protection is needed for the notary so that he can avoid the bad faith of the viewer. The form of caution that the notary must do to avoid the bad faith of client is to carry out the principle of prudence. Legal protection that can be done is preventive legal protection which is preventive, where the notary can protect himself by implementing a form of caution and obeying UUJN, Kode Etik and regulations relating to Notary and deeds to be made. The regulation of bad faith principles in the future must be linked to the standard of notary services in accordance with UUJN, Kode Etik and regulations relating to notary. Although it is not easy to find out whether the viewer has bad intentions when facing a notary, but at least the notary must know the indications that someone is doing bad faith and has a sense of suspicion if someone is unable to fulfill the procedure before the deed is made. The method of this research used normative research using a legal approachment, conceptual and case approachment.
