Abstract
In Indonesia, we can see that there are so many offices that have been established, coupled with the increasing development of new infrastructure. This can also cause an increase in energy consumption. One of the causes of increasing electricity consumption is lighting systems in offices that are not in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Not only can it increase energy consumption but it can also cause discomfort. In this study aims to evaluate the lighting system in the office and calculate the amount of electricity used in the office before and after evaluation. This research was carried out at the Units of the Coconut Shell BRIMOB Palembang. At the Talang Kelapa BRIMOB Unit Office there are 17 rooms that use the type of CFL lamp (Compact Fluorescent Lamp) with a power of 45 watts, 20 watts, 24 watts, 32 watts, 27 watts, 25 watts and a type of lamp TL (Luminescent Tube) with power 36 watt. After conducting research in each room in the office where the lighting system is in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) there are 5 rooms, namely the pasimin room with 1048.20 lux lighting, the guest waiting room is 635.34 lux, corridor 1 is 144 lux, corridor 2 amounting to 115 lux, terrace at 61 lux. The total electricity consumption by the lighting system prior to evaluation is 775.05 kWh / month and after re-planning using LED lights of 601.32 kWh / month. This study also uses the Dialux Application with type DN130B Coreline Downlight, GreenSpace DN472B, and GreenSpace DN463B lamps that are obtained at 460.14 kWh / month
