Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-EFFICACY AND ANXIETY IN PARTISIPANTS WHO JOIN A SELECTION POLICE OF BINTARA Yose Rizal1, Rosada Dwi Iswari2 ABSTRACT The research objective was to determine relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety in the selection of police officers. The research hypothesis is that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety in participants who join a selection police of bintara. Study population was police participants of bintara who join a learning course in the Matrix, whose numbers were not known with certainty. The research sample is 100 person and to try out is 50 person. This study used incidental sampling technique. self-efficacy and the anxiety was measured by the scale which refers to the dimensions of self-efficacy from Bandura (1997) and dimensions of the anxiety from Nevid, et al (2005). Data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the correlation analysis showed r value = -0,677 with a significance value of 0.000 (P <0.05). These results indicate that there is a negative and significant relationship between self efficacy and anxiety. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted.
