Abstract

This research intend to analyze the effect of Profitability, Company Size, Dividend Policy, and Free Cash Flow towards Debt Policy. The data for this research was taken from manufacturing companies that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISE) period 2016-2018. The sample is determined based on purposive sampling method so that the sample can be obtained as many as 17 companies with total research observations 51. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research showing that Profitability (ROA) is negative effect to Debt policy (DER) and Company Size is positive effect to Debt Policy (DER). Dividend Policy, and Free Cash Flow doesn’t have any effectt to Debt Policy (DER). In addition only obtained a coefficient of determination (R2) 0.330 which means that free variables are able to explain variable of 33% whereas the rest were 67% explained by variables other than research.
