Abstract

This study aim to determine the effect of Organic Materials on the Utilization of Used Media for the Cultivation of Black Rice (Oryza sativa L. Indica) Using Pot. The study was conducted in January 2019 until May 2019 in Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. This study uses a Randomized Block Design (RCBD). The factor: Consisted of addition the used media as follows: P0 = No Addition (0%), P1 = 5% addition Organic Soil, P2 = 10% addition Organic Soil, P3 = 15% addition Soil Organic, P4 = 5% addition ImproBioTM, P5 = 10% addition ImproBioTM, P6 = 15% addition ImproBioTM. The results of this study indicate the addition of organic material to the cultivation of black rice in used planting media using pots can be done. It is concluded that the application of 15% organic soil (P3) to the former planting soil media had the best influence on the growth and production of black rice with an average number of tillers at 10 weeks with 76.60 per clump, plant height 153.86 per clumps, the total number of unhusked rice is 5067.2 per clump, the number of paddy grains is 2940.9 per clump, and the weight of dry unhusked rice is 48.71 grams per clump Keywords: Black Rice, Organic Soil, ImproBioTM Fertilizer.
