Abstract
Diseases caused by fungi that are often found in chili plants caused by fruit rot and blotches caused by the fungus Colletotrichum capsici. The initial effect of the Colletotrichum capsici fungus on the chili plant is initially shaped as tiny black spots and curves in fruits that are still green or ripe. These spots are yellow, enlarged and elongated edges. The middle part is getting darker. In fruits that are attacked by the fungus C. capsici will become like sunlight which then causes a black rot. This research was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatment and 10 replications. The treatments were chilli varieties namely curly red chili, large cayenne chili and small cayenne chili. While the parameters observed included the incubation period, disease intensity, disease incidence, and production. Based on the results of this study it was found that the varieties of chili plants affected the intensity of anthracnose disease caused by Collectotorichum capsici, with the highest intensity was found in large cayenne peppers.
