Abstract
ABSTRACT This research to know effect motivation and student learning achievement PDTM lesson at SMK Gajah Mada Palembang. This research true experimental design in which there are experimental classes (STAD learning models) and control classes (conventional learning models). motivation effect used questionnaire instruments, and student learning achievement used question or test instruments. Data analysis techniques used are: normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (using the ‘t’ test). After the data analysis technique is done, then calculate the effect obtained by comparing the experimental class and the control class used effect size. Based on the results of the study found the effect of student learning motivation of 1.56 and the effect of student learning achievement of 1.04. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using t test. On motivation t_count = 4.49 > t_table = 2.03 and learning achievement t_count = 2.78 > t_table = 2.03, and it was stated "there is an effect of STAD type cooperative learning on student motivation and learning achievement PDTM lesson at SMK Gajah Mada Palembang.
