Abstract

Belitang Mulya Subdistrict has a great potential for rice commodity, but the real phenomenon is happening in the field today, farmers still often have difficulty increasing and increasing capital when cultivating rice fields in the following season. This research objective were; East OKU Regency is an area that has great potential in the primary agriculture and plantation sectors, which has a growing amount of agricultural production. The research objectives are (1) To calculate the production costs consisting of fixed costs and variable costs incurred by farmers in their farming in Purwodadi Village, Belitang Mulya District, East Oku Regency. (2) To calculate income according to the production obtained from farmer farming activities in Purwodadi Village, Belitang Mulya District, OKU Regency East. This research has been carried out on rice farmers in Purwodadi Village, Belitang Mulya District, East OKU Regency. The location selection is done intentionally (purposive). Primary data collection in the field was carried out in April 2019 - June 2019. The method used in this study is a survey method with sampling techniques. Data obtained from the field are processed by tabulation then continued with mathematical calculations and explained descriptively in the discussion. Based on the calculation of production costs and income of rice farmers in Belitang Mulya District, East Oku Regency, it can be concluded that the total costs incurred by rice farmers in Purwodadi Village, Belitang Mulya District, East OKU Regency is Rp.4.731.186 / lg / Mt or equivalent to Rp.7.739.795 / Ha / Mt with an average income of Rp.9.066.466 / lg / Mt or as much as Rp. 14.910.179 / ha / Mt. Farmers should start toward organic farming so that the cost of producing and using insecticides can be reduced. This is expected to reduce production costs.
