Abstract

The title of this study was “The Development of Muhammadiyah Organization in Buay Madang Timur District, OKU Timur Regency, year 1994-2017 (The Contribution to the History of Indonesia National Movement Course). This study aimed to find out the development of Muhammadiyah Organization in Buay Madang Timur District in the year of 1994-2017, specifically in its education, health, and social field. The method used in this study was the historical method with heuristic steps, historical criticism, interpretation, and historiography. In order to collect the data, the researcher did the literature review and interview. The approaches used in this study were the sociological, humanities, and social sciences approach. In this study, the findings showed that first, in the field of education, since 2017, Muhammadiyah has been developing its facilities to better facilitate the students. Currently, adequate facilities are provided for all level of education (primary - high school). Moreover, it also has successfully accommodated many students to study as its facilities now are much better compared to what it had when the first time it was established. Second, in the field of health, Muhammadiyah once had a break in service for a while but then it finally rose up in 2012. Now, all facilities in the hospital are adequate and all of the staffs who are working there are qualified. Last but not least, in the social field, the construction of the orphanage is still in progress, however, many activities has been done such as Safari Ramadhan, Orphans Care, and Qur’an Recitation.
