Abstract
Methoxy acetate manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 45,000 ton / year is planned to be established in 2024 in the City of Cilegon, Province Banten which is estimated to have an area of 5.3887 Ha. Raw material from the manufacture of methyl methoxy acetate is methylal and carbon monoxide. Process The manufacture of methoxy acetate memtil refers to US Pat. 2018/0201567 A1 by methylal carbonylation process with carbon monoxide forming methyl methoxy acetate as the main product and methylal disproportionation process form dimethyl ether and methyl formate as a side product. The reactor used is a trickle bed reactor type reactor. The reactor operates at a temperature of 73oC and a pressure of 20 bar. The form of company that will be used in this plant is the Company Limited (PT) with Line and Staff organizational systems, led by a person Director with a total of 119 employees. Based on the results of economic analysis, This methyl acetate methyl plant is feasible to be established because it has met various economic parameter requirements, as follows: Total Production Cost (TPC) = US $ 154,704,000.42 Annual Sales Results = US $ 192,941,722.12 Annual Cash Flow = US $ 34,482,682.95 Pay Out Time = 2.13 Years Rate Of Return On Investment (ROR) = 35.97% Break Even Point (BEP) = 35.54% Service Life = 11 Years
