Abstract

The objectives of this study are: 1) Analyzing marketing channels and marketing functions of pineapple farming in Pangkul Village, Cambai Subdistrict, Prabumulih City, 2) Calculating the value of marketing margins in each marketing institute of pineapple farming and farmer's share of pineapple farming in Pangkul Village, Cambai District, Prababulih City and 3 ) Calculating the income of pineapple farming received by farmers in Pangkul Village, Cambai District, Prabumulih City. This research was conducted in Pangkul Village, Cambai District, Prabumulih City. The choice of location was deliberately chosen because Pangkul Village is one of the pineapple-producing centers and farmers who are active in doing business. Besides that, Pangkul Village is close to the location of the Agriculture Office of the City of Prabumulih, the Central Statistics Office of the City of Prabumulih and the Agricultural Extension Center of the District of Cambai, Prabumulih City. get data and information that can support this research. The implementation time was carried out in January 2019 - February 2019, with 43 sample farmer samples using the simple random sampling method and the snowball sampling method. Pineapple farming in Pangkul Village is farming which is interlude plants, not staple crops. Pineapple farming is the choice of farmers in Pangkul Village for helping farmers incomes in Pangkul Village. Marketing the pineapple has reached the local and national level. Based on information obtained from the Village Head and pineapple farmers in the Pangkul Village, marketing pineapple from the village has been marketed to the large in Palembang and Jakarta regional. Pineapple farming marketing channels what happened in the Pangkul Village from various areas such as Prabumulih City to Ogan Ilir Regency to Jakarta with four marketing channels, marketing channel that are widely used by farmers in the village is channel pattern ranging form farmers, collectors, big traders, retailers and consumers. There are three marketing function namely exchange function, physical function, and facilities function. Functions that provide added value namely standarization functions. Pineapple marketing of Pangkul Village has not been efficient. Marketing margins in each marketing institution in each marketing channel and total marketing margins and farmer's share that have the most value, namely in the first channel pattern which is started from farmers and end consumers alone with the marketing margin value of IDR. 2,200 per fruit and farmer's share of 100%. The average income of sample farmers in the village is IDR. 16,210,005 per farm area per year with an average income per hectare of his farm of IDR. 14,743,873 per hectare per year.
