Abstract

This study is entitled "Student Rationality in Entrepreneurship (studies on students of Faculty of Social Sciences who have businesses in the Indralaya". from Coleman's theory that people act intentionally towards a goal, with that goal formed values or choices.The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and documentation.The informant in this study was purposive with the aim of getting information in-depth by taking six informants namely Fisip Unsri students.The results of the study showed that the rationality of students in entrepreneurship ie students have logical thinking or consideration in making decisions in entrepreneurship, in this case student rationale is a pattern the thought of running an entrepreneur, is a strategy to improve self-economy, as well as opening job vacancies for others and generating the value of courage and independence for these students.
