Abstract

Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a condition of myocardial cells death caused a blockage in the coronary artery. The blockage occurs due to rupture of atheroma plaque in the coronary artery and subsequently followed by the onset of thrombosis, vasoconstriction, and inflammatory reactions. This study aims to determine the percentage of DRPs including drug selection problems, drug dosing problems, drug delivery or use problems, undesired drug reactions, and drug interactions for hospitalized patient with myocardial acute infarction in RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang. This research is descriptive using retrospective method. The data obtained are 54 samples that suits inclusion criteria. DRPs in IMA therapy resulted in drug selection problem 1.85%, drug dosing problems 9.26 %, drug administration or use problems 5.55 %, undesired reaction category 3.7 %, and drug interactions 1.85 % out of a total of 54 hospitalized patients with an IMA diagnosis from July 2016 to June 2017.
