Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji respon investor terhadap pengumuman Sustainability Reporting (SR) dalam laporan tahunan periode 2006-2008. Investor akan dikatakan merespon jika pengumuman tersebut mempengaruhi mereka dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi. Para investor selama ini masih memakai informasi laba sebagai alat pengambilan keputusan dalam berinvestasi dan tidak terlalu memperhatikan informasi dari laporan non keuangan. Perilaku semacam ini memicu pihak manajemen cenderung mengabaikan tentang pentingnya laporan tersebut. Objek penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang menerbitkan SR yang list di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEi). Terdapat 5 (lima) perusahaan yang sudah menerapkan SR namun yang telah menerapkan SR pada tahun 2006-2008 hanya 3 (tiga) perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini respon investor dinilai dengan perubahan harga saham yang terjadi pada sebelum publikasi, saat publikasi dan setelah publikasi. Untuk menguji signifikasi respon investor terhadap publikasi SR maka digunakan pengujian hipotesis (I-test sample for paired) dengan membandingan t-hitung dengan t-tabel. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa terdapat pengaruh atas publikasi SR terhadap respon investor namun tidak signifikan.
