Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to investigate and assess the inventory management effectiveness of spareparts on PT.lautan Berlian Utama Motor (LBUM ) Tbk region Palembang. This research represents descriptive research. Type of data that used in this research is Secondary data. There are sales data, Purchasing data, and deadstock of spareparts on PT.Lautan Berlian Utama Motor (LBUM) Tok region Palembang. Data analysis method is the ABC analysis and EOQ method that applied to forms of descriptive. The results showed that the effectiveness of the management of the company's inventory is quite good already. It can be seen from the results of calculations using the ABC method in which results of the analysis showed that the percentage of A larger than groups 8 and C. Therefore to increase sales and minimize the pile up of goods in warehouse then the company must manage inventory orders grouped C by minimizing and maximizing the order of group A. And just also based on the analysis of EOQ, company just also and absolutely could continue to supply the specified order and stop orders on stocks that have no economic value so that the goods less profitable to accumulate and eventually optimalizing and maxmilizing of sales will be achieved.
