Abstract

The objective of this study was to know the public perception of Penukal subdistrict the tradition of bepintaan in the customary marriage in the village Gunung Menang Kabupaten Pali This research used quantitative approachment with descriptive method. The population of this study was 129 of public Penukal village Gunung Menang milddle-income. simpel random sampling technique was applied to select the sampel and talking 5% from the population of the study which was gained from 95 people was used to determine amount of sample. The study used documentation and questionaire techniques to collet the data. Based on the result of analysis from two techniques in collecting the data, it could be concluded that the society gave positive perception toward tradition of bepintaan in the customary marriage. It was proven by result of the analysis of the data and the discussion of the resulf of the questionnaire, the five indicator used as the measurement of the research coinsisted of 25 ststements showed that the mean value obtained was 87,41 % and the percentage of the interval (≥) 62,5 %. As previously determined that the score > 62,5% is the criteria for positive perception level and on the contrary < 62,5% is the criteria for negative perception level.
