Abstract
Pipes are hollow cylindrical components used to carry or drain fluid. While the pipeline is a piping system to deliver or flow fluid between a plant to another plant which usually passes through several regions with varying distances and terrain, either by land, river, underwater or offshore areas. In this study, the ASME B31.8 standard is used which discusses the pipeline for gas distribution. The initial stage of the stress analysis is by taking data from the field, modeling the piping system, entering the data needed during analysis, and making conclusions. The supporting software used are CAESAR II. The analyzed voltage is in the form of stress due to sustained load, stress due to thermal load, stress during operating conditions and stress due to hydrostatic load. Based on the simulation results, it is found that the voltage and displacement that occur meet ASME B31.8 standards
