Abstract

Background: Cancer affects all aspects of the sufferer's life, whether physical, psychological, social and spiritual. One physical aspect felt by cancer patients is pain. Nursing interventions that can be given to reduce pain are Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT), because cancer patients need spiritual nonpharmacological intervention with a sizeable portion, in addition to medication or physical care. Aim: The aim of this scientific work is to apply nursing care in cancer cases and pain management using SEFT in accordance with Edvidence Based. Method: Using descriptive qualitative methods with a case study approach. Results There are 6 nursing problems raised in the three patients under management (Ny.S and Tn.S with Ca Nasofaring and Ny.M with Ca Mammae) which consist of the same main complaint, namely pain. Interventions are given to reduce pain in managed patients by using Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy. After nursing intervention there was a decrease in the pain scale in the three patients who managed it. Discussion: SEFT therapy is a technique of combining the body's energy system (energy medicine) and spirituality therapy using the tapping method (beats) at certain points on the body. These points are the key points of "The Major Energy Meridians", which if we knock a few times will have an impact on neutralizing the emotional disturbances or pain that we feel because the body's energy flow goes normally and in balance again. Conclusion: All three patients under management were given nursing care consisting of assessment, enforcement of nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation. The implication of the SEFT shows that there is a decrease in pain scale (mean score 4 to mean score 2) in all three patients managed.
