Abstract

Social isolation is the patient's effort to avoid interaction with others, to avoid relationships with others as well as communication with others. From the problem of social isolation, it would require rehabilitation aimed at restoring physical function, assisting in the adjustment, increased tolerance, and improved the ability of the patient in isolation. To minimize the impact of social isolation requires approach and provide paperwork to overcome the patient's symptoms with social isolation. The writing of this scientific work is intended to illustrate and expound nursing applications on patients with social isolation. Based on the study, the three patients showed shame and fear of leaving the house, feeling worthless, and not daring to talk to others. Based on the results of the study, the authors provided the diagnosis of nursing: social isolation. As for the way that authors address the problem is to give generalist nursing action by identifying the causes, marks, benefits, and losses of social isolation. Getting to know others gradually. As for implementation results it is obtained that implementation strategies are conducted capable of increasing the patient's courage to talk to others.It is hoped that the nurse will be able to take note of the patient's needs with social isolation: withdraw so that the patient's problems can be noticed and resolved.
