The purpose of the research is to increase the students poetry appreciation. The increasing includes the cognitive aspect and affective aspect. Based on the result of the study, posttest in the first session is obtainet 2,13 or 50,83% from the pretest. The result of third session increast 0,77 or 11,90% if compared with thw final test of the second session. From the calculation of "t" test is obtained 7,25. There is significant different duc to the calculation "t" valve of 7,25 is larger than the valve of 2,71 in the critical table of t. Mean score before the treatmen is 32,78, mean score after treatmen is 39,18. This result shows there is increase of 6,4 point.
