Abstract
The research was conducted to determined the response of shallots planted in different composition of planting media to drought stress, and conducted at Jakabaring in December 2019 to February 2020. The treatment composition of planting media was M1 = Sand: Soil: Manure (1: 1: 1), M2 = Sand: Soil: Manure (2: 1: 1), and M3 = Sand: Soil: Manure (2: 1 : 2). The treatment of drought stress was D1 = control or without drought stress, D2 = drought stress at 30-40 HST, D3 = drought stress at 40-50 HST. Each treatment consisted of 4 replications and each replication consisted of 1 plant so that the number of plants observed was 36 plants. This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage before drought stress (30 HST) and second stage after being given a drought stress. The results showed had no significant effect on all parameters before drought stress. In the stage after being given drought stress significantly affected the parameters of leaf water content, root fresh weight and root water content.
