Abstract

Bantalan merupakan suatu elemen mesin yang berfungsi gesekan yang terjadi antara bagian mesin yang berputar dengan yang diam (stationer). Bantalan dirancang untuk memperkecil keausan, dapat diganti, dan mencegah kerusakan pada bagian mesin yang relatif mahal.Bantalan dibuat melalui suatu proses manufaktur dengan ketelitian tinggi. Suatu proses yang teliti akan menghasilkan bantalan dengan kualitas presisi yang sesuai dengan standarisasi bantalan. Karena faktor di atas, beberapa hal yang berhubungan dengan bantalah harus diperlihatkan secara teliti juga, seperti kondisi poros dan rumah berjalan yang memenuhi suatu standar toleransi.Dalam dunia permesinan komponen – komponen alat dapat terjadi kerusakan, baik itu karena umur masa pakai alat yang habis, komponen tersebut sudah tidak berfungsi sama sekali, komponen tersebut berfungsi tapi membahayakan ataupun karena sebab – sebab lainnya.
