Abstract

Adolescence, aged 10-14 years is a period reralihan, which in this phase adolescents are not children and not adults. Someone who was a teenager can not really critical in addressing smoking behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of media on attitudes puzzle related effects of smoking. This research uses quasi experimental study design with prestest posttest design with control group. Sampling in this study using cluster sampling. The samples in this study amounted to 25 people in the treatment group and 25 in the control group. Analysis of experimental data using the t test dependent test and independent test. The results of this study show that there are differences in attitudes toward the impact of smoking before and after the impact of smoking-related puzzles media in the treatment group (p = 0.009), the lecture also no differences in attitudes related to the impact of smoking in the control group (p = 0.005). Comparison of the experimental group and the control group there are differences related to the impact of smoking (0.002). Seen that the media puzzles and more effective methods of lecture lecture method in increasing the impact of smoking-related attitudes with controlled variables maternal education and resources. It is expected to tighten further the school's supervision that applies a ban on smoking, it needs the assistance of a teacher to the students during the activities to be more effective.
