Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of the Palembang National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in helping to realize the prosperous Palembang program. Prosperous Palembang is a researched activity, and BAZNAS of Palembang city is a researched place. The subjects in this study were three informants. This study uses four indicators of BAZNAS efforts namely, empowerment of the productive zakat program, socialization and education, strengthening the regulatory side, and cooperation among fellow components of zakat management. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are four efforts of Palembang City BAZNAS in carrying out the prosperous Palembang program. First, the City of Palembang's BAZNAS provides guidance to poor households participating in the Palembang prosperous program. Palembang prospered, the third provided the strengthening of the regulatory side, and the fourth BAZNAS has not cooperated with fellow zakat management components in the city of Palembang.
