Abstract

This study aims to determine the survival strategies of vegetable traders of traditional market of Prabumulih city, and to know any obstacles experienced by the vegetable traders for surviving in traditional market of Prabumulih City. This study used a qualitative approach described descriptively with data sources concisted of vegetable trades of Belida Tribe in traditional market of Prabumulih City. This study used a qualitative approach described descriptively with data sources consisted of vegetable traders of Belida Tribe in traditional market of Prabumulih City. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The technique of selecting informants was purposive. There were 5 key informants, 3 main informants, and 3 supporting informants. The result of this study indicated that the survival strategy used by vegetable traders of Belida Tribe in tradional market of Prabumulih City were giving special services to loyal customers, paying more attention to the quality of the vegetables, and providing fres vegetables.
