Abstract

Quartz sand is industrial quarry that is commonly found in Indonesia. Among them are scattered in the Bangka Belitung Prov. North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, West Papua, NTB, NTT, Aceh, Lampung, Kep. Riau, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Java, Central Java, West Java, Banten, Kep. Bangka Belitung. Total resources in 2010 reached 18,053,082,000 tons. However, with the potential of quartz sand owned by Indonesia, especially in the Bangka Belitung Islands which has a total resource of 1,076,790,000 and reserves of 129,214,800, Indonesia itself has not yet carried out further development and processing for the country further for this quartz sand. So based on this the researcher intends to conduct an economic analysis of quartz sand investment that it can be processed and developed the quality of quartz sand to meet the needs of Indonesian industries, such as the refractory brick, ceramic, glass industries. The method used to design mining on the basis of increase in added value. by considering the feasibility of investment such as NPV, IRR, PBP, PI. Then after processing the data it produces an NPV of Rp. 60,144,690,035, IRR of 35.15%, Payback Period of 3.34 years, Profitability Index of 1.77.
