Abstract

The obstacle that is mostly faced by UAV is the difficulty of landing on a base. This difficulty can be solved by the renew of UAV that is the developing of landing vision with detecting the helipad to prevent the risk of accidents that could be harmful and could lead to death. The technology developing like helipad detection will make UAV to land easier and more accurately, using camera to detect the helipad base, with the utilization of image processing to support the detection. YOLO is an algorithm that is developed to detect object in real-time and is the result of the development of CNN algorithm. Therefore, YOLO algorithm in this research will be used to detect the existence of helipad base in real-time. The performance of Tiny YOLO VOC Model in detecting the helipad has gotten a good result with the value of confidence is 91,1% and the system processing speed through 35 fps in either bright and 37 fps in either dark places at 20 meters high.
