Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the structure of production cost and profit in embroidery industry in Palembang. Primary data is used in this research. Descriptive qualitative and pearson correlations analysis were the analysis technique used in this research. The result of this research shows that the cost of raw was the biggest variable cost in the production cost structure of the embroidery industry in Palembang with a percentage of 44 percent, then followed by the labor cost that shows 36 percent, the rent cost that shows 11 percent, the cost of auxiliary materials that shows 5 percent and the smallest cost was the equipment cost that shows 4 percent. The profit of the embroidery industry was Rp 51.045.190 with the average Rp 4.253.766. The cost used for this industry have the positive correlation toward the profit with cooefision correlation 0.838. Keywords: Production costs, Profits, Embroidery Industry.
