Abstract
Welding technology is one of the developments of the innovation industry for increase production with better quality. The rapid development the industrial world has pushed for new innovations and ideas in order to produce a variety of products that are superior and of a high quality better especially in the field of piping with metal. Development in the field of welding is fairly rapid and very influential on aspects world science. One method that is often used for welding is gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), in welding with the GTAW process, heat is generated from the arc formed in the protection of inert gas (noble gas) between the electrodes not feed with workpieces. The application of GTAW welding is usually used in the material types of aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and so forth. Welding in this test will connect between Alloy 800 material with KHR 35CT the variation used is the gas flow rate during the welding process. This material often used in the petrochemical industry, steam generators, and reformers. Selection of filler suitable to do a welding is important for get good welding results and to minimize the occurrence of defects welds that may occur, the filler used in this study is a filler specifically with the element of composition related to the elements in the material used. In this study the authors used several tests for analyze the mechanical and microstructural properties of the welding results, such as testing Metallography (Optical Microscope), XRF, XRD, and Hardness testing.
