Abstract

Presence System is a data collection an activity carried out at an agency, in this study the presence was carried out to record students present in learning activities using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to detect the position of students who were present then validated by fingerprint attendance on the machine Finger Print Scanner that aims to knowing that the student is actually present so that the attendance data cannot be manipulated and the student cannot be absent with others or commit fraud. Testers conduct three test scenarios using multiple tags RFID as tag the target and tag references as well as using the two antennas, three antennas and four antennas each test. Testing is done in the study room with student objects directly to get preliminary data that is RSSI value data then the data is processed to get the object's position using the K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) method is a method for classification of data mining and statistics on objects based on neighboring K values the closest one. After performing the calculation of the data obtained then generating a distance value estimates best position is in the second scenario uses 4 antennas with the average value of error the distance is 17.79 cm and the average percentage error of it is 7.91%.
