Abstract
Jumputan industry which generally uses azo dyes that are difficult to degrade. A presence of synthetic dye waste in the environment can disrupt aesthetics, damage aquatic ecosystems and human health. Necessary the decolorization through the biosorption process that potential to decrease dyes. Test the decolorization ability of indigenic bacteria against Direct Red 80 dyes was carried out using the spectrophotometric method and analysis using Thin Layer Chromatography. The increase of ability bacterial adsorption requires optimization of environmental parameters. There were 5 bacteria which have an adsorption ability from 8 indigenic bacteria, and a highest percentage were Pseudomonas stutzeri BD 05 and Bacillus tropicus BD 01. Pseudomonas stutzeri BD 05 has a higher adsorption ability than Bacillus tropicus BD 01 and showed 92.48% while Bacillus tropicus BD 01 showed 89.52%. Rf value was not change on Chromatogram analysis from the biosorption process by bacterial.
