Abstract
This study aims to obtain information about plants used as medicine by the Musi people and how to manage them. The study was conducted from December 2019 to January 2020. The research method used in this study was descriptive. Data collection was carried out by means of surveys and semi-structured interviews of Battra who knew about traditional medicine in the Musi tribe. The results showed that there were 50 types of plants that were used as medicine by the musi tribes, grouped into 20 tribes. The most widely used plants are the zingiberaceae tribe consisting of 5 plants namely Curcuma mango Valeton & Zijp, Zingiber officinale, Kaempferia galanga L., Alvinia Valeton and Curcuma domestica Val. 50 types of this plant can treat 40 kinds of diseases. The ingredients are used as many as 40 herbs to treat 44 diseases. How to use plants by smearing, boiling (drinking and bathing), rubbing, burning and tapping. The data from this study are expected to be used as a source of information in high school biology learning, especially learning in class X in the form of validated LKPD. This information studies the diversity and local wisdom of traditional medicine knowledge.
