Abstract

ABSTRAK Sihombing, Elizabeth Christina. “Perencanaan dan Perancangan Pasar Tradisional Dwikora Parluasan di Kota Pematangsiantar” Laporan Perancangan, Sarjana, Program Studi Teknik Arsitektur UniversitasSriwijaya, 2019. Pasar tradisional adalah suatu wadah dimana penjual dan pembeli bertemu dengan tujuan pemenuhan kebutuhan sehari-hari. Sebagai pusat kota dan sekaligus pusat perdagangan, Kota Pematangsiantar hingga saat ini belum memiliki pasar tradisinal yang sesuai dengan standar bangunan pasar. Pasar tradisional Dwikora Parluasan menjadi salah satu pusat perdagangan bagi sebagian besar masyarakat. Sama seperti permasalahan klasik di pasar tradisional lainnya, pasar ini pun sudah sangat mengganggu lingkungan dan aktivitas sekitar. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan wadah yang baru, baik secara fisik maupun visual. Secara fisik, bangunan komersil ini akan menyediakan kios dan beberapa lapak perdagangan, kantor pengelola, dan beberapa fasilitas penunjang bagi seluruh pengguna, sedangkan secara visual aspek lokalitas dijadikan ide utama sebagai kota yang didominasi oleh kebudayaan Batak. Dengan pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular, pasar tradisional diharap akan mampu meningkatkan kenyamanan pengunjung dan masyarakat sekitar dan melestarikan budaya Batak di Kota Pematangsiantar. Traditional market is a place where seller and buyer met with purpose to fullfill the needs. As city centre and commerce, through these day Pematangsiantar City did not has a traditional market that not appropriate with the standard.The Dwikora Parluasan Traditional Market is one of the commerce for the people. Like the other case in traditional market, this market really disturb in area. So that, we need the new place, physically and visualy. Physically, this commercial building set aside some store, manager office, and facilities for the costumer, in Visually locality aspect be the main idea in the city with Batak culture domain. With Neo Vernacular Architecture approach, we expect the traditional market to make an upgrade to give the comfort to the customer and able to conserve the Batak culture in Pematangsiantar.
