Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of self-control on the aggression behavior of students participating in demonstrations in Palembang. The hypothesis in this study is the role of self-control of the aggression behavior of students participating in the action in the city of Palembang. The study population was students in the city of Palembang. The research sample of 100 people and for trials as many as 50 people. Sampling is done using non-probability sampling techniques. The measuring instrument uses a scale of self-control and aggression behavior by referring to the aspects of self-control from Averill (1973) and the factors of aggression behavior from Buss and Perry (1992). Data analysis was performed using simple regression.. The results of the hypothesis indicate there is a role for self-control of aggression behavior with an R Square value of 0.443 and an F value of 77,963. The results of the hypothesis of this study indicate that there is a role for self-control towards aggression by 44.3%. Thus the hypothesis proposed is accepted
