Abstract

This study aims to (1) Describe the marketing channel of vegetables in Eka Marga Village, Lubuk Linggau Selatan II Subdistrict, Lubuk Linggau City (2) Analyzing marketing margin, farmer’s share and the efficiency of vegetable marketing in Eka Marga Village, Lubuk Linggau Selatan II Subdistrict, Lubuk Linggau City (3) Analyzing the magnitude of the elasticity transmission of vegetable prices at the consumer level to the vegetable prices at the farmer-level in Eka Marga Village, Lubuk Linggau Selatan II Subdistrict, Lubuk Linggau City. This research was conducted in the Village of Eka Marga, Lubuk Linggau Selatan District II, Lubuk Linggau City. The data collection was carried out in February to March 2020. The research method used was a survey method. The data used consist of secondary data and primary data. The sampling method used is a non-probability sampling method, that means the sampling is not done by the rules of probability and deliberately chosen based on special selection using certain criteria, then adjusted to the criteria desired by researchers to only choose vegetable growers who plant three commodities namely spinach, kale and oyong. Samples taken from the total farmers who planted three commodities amounted to 50 samples. The marketing margin of vegetables in In Eka Marga Village Lubuk Linggau Selatan Ii Sub-Districts Lubuk Linggau City has been efficiently viewed based on marketing margins, farmers’s share and marketing efficiency. The elasticity of spinach price transmission in this study was obtained the value of εt = 2.318 indicating that farmers who carried out spinach vegetable farming activities in Eka Marga Village had an value εt > 1. The kale spinach price transmission elasticity obtained the value of εt = 0.468 and the transmission elasticity of oyong obtained the value of εt = 0.873 shows that farmer’s who do farming activities of kale and oyong vegetables have an value εt <1.
