Abstract

The purpose of this research are to: (1) describe the system management and the process of dried grain processing to rice, (2) calculating the business income of rice milling of various types of products produced, (3) calculating the value added of dried grain milled into rice. This research was conducted in Muara Telang district Banyuasin Regency. Collecting data was conductid in January 2020. The research methods use are the survey methods and the sample withdrawal methods used in this study are purposive sampling. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the research obtained conclusions are the production system of rice milling business in the procurement of raw materials is not continuous. The production type applied is discontinuous production type. In the production process of rice milling business doing drying, milling, and packing, the average of rice milling business is Rp156.385.929/yr and the R/C ratio 1,088, and The processing of GKG into rice has ratio value of 7.183 percent. The processing of GKG becomes bran has an ratio of value added 97.865 percent. These value-added ratios are high category because the value is more than 40 percent. And the processing of GKG to Husk has an ratio is 69.722 percent. These value-added ratios are high category because the value is more than 40 percent.
