Abstract

The title of this research is Communication Strategy of Social Empowering from Residents and Family Agency South Sumatra Province in Family Home Planning Kite Western Ilir Sub-district two, Palembang City. The purpose of this research is to know people empowering communication strategies from Residents and Family Agency of South Sumatra Province in Family Home Planning Kite Western Ilir Sub-district two, Palembang City. In this research, the researcher use the communication strategy theory from Quinn and Mintzberg. The researcher use the qualitative methods with a descriptive data types. The informants in this research are 5 informant from different backgrounds include that Head of Bina”s Linkage Between Lines and Fields, Head of Family Home Planning Kite, Family Officer Planning of Family Home Planning Kite, Chief of Lurah 29 Ilir City of Palembang and one of local people. The researcher uses deep interview, observation, and documentation to collect data from the informants. The results of this research indicates communication strategy of social empowering from Residents and Family Agency South Sumatra Province is one of those application communication strategies. The result is seen from the research outcomes that are much more likely to apply initial planning strategy than the field strategy.
