Abstract

The Gasing Village Talang Kelapa District is one of the endemic areas of filariasis in the province of South Sumatra, where the Filariasis Mass Drug Prevention Program (POPM) was partially implemented from 2012. The aim of this study was to analyze the performance of Filariasis Elimination force the Filariasis Mass Drug Prevention Program and environmental factors on the incidence of Filariasis in the work area of the Banyuasin District Health Center Gasing.The site ofthis research was conducted in Gasing Village,Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency. The design of this study is qualitatively descriptive with 8 informants (1 manager of the filariasis program, 2 Elimination force, 3 patients with filariasis and 2 non-filariasis patients). The data is collected by questioning, observing and checking the documents. The data is descriptively processed and analyzed using source triangulation techniques, method triangulation and data triangulation. The data is checked and checked between the results of interviews, observations and document reviews. The results of Elimination force the Filariasis Mass Drug Prevention Program performance research, which includes facilities, infrastructure, funding, advocacy, and recording and reporting on the implementation of the Filariasis Mass Drug Prevention Programfilariasis, are consistent with Health Ministers Decree Number. 94 of 2014 regarding prevention of filariasis, but environmental factors such as the presence of puddles and the presence of Sewerage around the informant's house, which is full of garbage, are one of the factors that cause filariasis. The conclusion of this study is that the performance of Elimination force meets the guidelines for overcoming filariasis. There are only various environmental factors, such as the presence of puddles and the presence of Sewerage in the informant's house, which contains a lot of garbage, and the potential to become a breeding ground for filariasis vector mosquitoes in the workingareaoftheGasingHealthCenter,BanyuasinRegency.
