Abstract
Indonesian is in the 7th ranked in the world as a country with the highest prevalence of diabetes mellitus. The Public Health Center of Nagaswidak is one of the public health centers that has the lowest service coverage around 15,5% from 343 patients. This matter shows that the level of compliance of sufferers is still relatively low and can affect the success in maintaining their random blood glucose stability. The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation of the obedient by following the service of the diabetes nellitus along with random blood glucose. This research is a cross sectional method using a quantitative study approach and the sample of this study were diabetics who attended services at Nagaswidak Public Health Center Palembang with a total sampling technique of 53 samples. The analytic data is using Chi-Square and Logistic Regression. Filling the questionnaire sheet and an interview are the way how to get the data collecting. Then, the data presents in a table and narration. The result of the research shown that 52,8% of respondents have stable random blood glucose and bivariate analysis shown that there is a correlation between diet with random blood glucose stability (p-value <0,0001, PR=11,607 95% CI 3,060-44,031 ), no correlation between physical activity with random blood glucose stability (p-value = 0,962 and p-value = 0,936), and a correlation between taking the medicine with random blood glucose stability (p-value <0,0001, PR=24,107 95% CI 3,528-164,711). Random blood glucose stability influence diet and taking medicine, so it is necessary to controlling and consider preventive behavioral health education that can be applied in daily lifestyle such as the importance of maintaining calories and the type of food consumed and the importance of drug therapy so that sufferers are disciplined in taking medication according to doctor’s instructions so that blood sugar levels can be controlled, while preventing complications.
