Abstract

This study examines the role of the Dayang Sandes studio in the development of Senjang culture in Musi Banyuasin Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the Dayang Sandes Studio and what factors influenced the Dayang Sandes Studio in developing the culture of senangang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Observation, interview and documentation are data collection techniques used by researchers. This study uses analytical tools, namely the role theory of Biddle and Thomas. The results of this study indicate that the Padma Sandes Studio plays a role in developing and preserving the culture of gaps, and there are several factors that influence the Padma Sandes Studio in developing a culture of gaps, such as internal and external factors. Internal factors consist of a desire to elevate regional culture, especially gaps and funding and inscriptions, while external factors consist of environmental and community conditions, as well as technological and mass media development factors.
