Abstract

Muara Sungai Upang banyak menerima masukan bahan organik dari berbagai aktifitas masyarakan di sekitar perairan dan secara tidak langsung dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi klorofil-a. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsentrasi klorofil-a dan mengkaji dinamika sebaran konsentrasi klorofil-a pada kondisi pasang dan surut di Perairan Muara Sungai Upang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2020. Pengambilan sampel air dan pengukuran parameter ditentukan secara purposive sampling method dengan 3 ulangan. Analisis klorofil-a dilakukan dengan metode spektrofotometri dan analisis nitrat, fosfat dilakukan dengan metode brucin dan asam askorbat. Sebaran konsentrasi klorofil-a di olah dengan menggunakan Surfer 9 dan parameter lingkungan perairan ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik diagram batang. Hasil penelitian konsentrasi klorofil-a di perairan Muara Sungai Upang tergolong oligotrofik dengan rata-rata 1,833 mg/m3 pada kondisi pasang dan 1,032 mg/m3 pada kondisi surut. Konsentrasi klorofil-a di perairan Muara Sungai Upang cenderung tinggi pada daerah bagian luar muara menuju perairan laut dan lebih rendah di daerah bagian dalam muara.
