Abstract

Chili (Capsicum annum L) is one of the important horticultural commodities in Indonesia which has high economic value. The increasing demand for chili by the community, has been inevitably encouraging farmers to cultivate chili plants. Leaf spot disease (Cercospora capsici) is one of the chilli plant diseases that grows in tropical and subtropical regions, and is found in many highlands and lowlands. This study used a Factorial Complete Randomized Design (RALF) consisting of 4 treatments. Each treatment was repeated 5 times. and each treatment unit consists of 3 polybaged plants. The parameters observed in this study include the incubation period, the number of spots, the area of the spots, the disease incidence, the disease intensity, and the weight of the yield. Based on the results of the research, the containment treatment affected the inoculation of Cercospora capsici fungi because P <0.05. Variety treatment did not affect the intensity and incidence of Cercospora leaf spot due to P> 0.05. Variety and containment treatment did not affect the weight of the fruit produced.
