Abstract

Salah satu alternatif untuk mengembangkan produksi M. leucadendra di KHDTK Kemampo ialah dengan cara pemberian inokulum fungi MVA indigenous. Mikoriza berperan penting dalam ekosistem terutama dalam hal konservasi siklus nutrisi dan membantu memperbaiki struktur tanah. Belum adanya data dan informasi mengenai fungi MVA indigenous di bawah tegakan M. leucadendra di KHDTK Kemampo menyebabkan perlu dilakukannya penelitian pendahuluan untuk memperoleh data populasi dan keanekaragaman fungi MVA yang berasosiasi dengan M. leucadendra. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan fungi MVA antara lain genus Glomus (Glomus sp.1, Glomus sp.2, Glomus sp.3, Glomus sp.4, dan Glomus sp.5), genus Gigaspora (Gigaspora sp.), genus Scutellospora (Scutellospora sp.1 dan Scutellospora sp.2), genus Entrophospora (Entrophospora sp.), Glomus badium, Gigaspora gigantea, Gigaspora margarita, Acaulospora mellea, dan Acaulospora herrerae. Keanekaragaman fungi MVA tergolong ke dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai indeks keanekaragaman tiap bagian kemiringan antara lain bagian atas 2,07, bagian tengah 1,92, dan bagian bawah 1,76. Kemerataan fungi MVA tergolong ke dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai indeks kemerataan tiap bagian kemiringan antara lain bagian atas 0,78, bagian tengah 0,73, dan bagian bawah 0,67. Persentase infeksi fungi MVA antara lain bagian atas dan bawah sebesar 56% yang tergolong dalam kategori sedang dan bagian tengah sebesar 38% yang tergolong ke dalam kategori rendah.
