Abstract
The current rapid development of technology in Indonesia causes electricity to be primarily needed. Many power plants in Indonesia still uses crude oil as natural source that can be renewed or uses alternative energy such as solar thermal. However, sometimes, a power plant could not fulfill the electric needs. Therefore, two power plants are combined to fulfill the larger electricity needs, and to cover weaknesses of each power plants. From the research that has been done using 32 transistor 2N3055 in hybrid with 12 thermoelectric generator module within 14 days at light intensity of 418,3 cd, and solar radiation of 1035 W/m2 , obtained a value of voltage is 14,36 V, and a value of current is 0,88 mA, and also the value of electrical power is 0,012599 W. This matter is caused by the low light intensity, that the output value generated by transistor is also low, and vice versa. The greater the solar radiation, causes the bigger output value produced by the thermoelectric due to the bigger value of the resulting temperature difference.
