Abstract

This study is entitled "The Effect of Application of Crossword Puzzle Media on Student Learning Outcomes in Historical Subjects in Class X SMA PGRI Gelumbang". The research problem formulation is there any influence of the application of crossword puzzle media on the learning outcomes of students in Class X SMA PGRI Gelumbang. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research type. The population of this research is all of the tenth grade students of SMA PGRI Gelumbang consisting of 6 classes. The sampling technique used random sampling so that class X IPA 1 was chosen as the experimental class. From student learning outcomes can be seen from the average value of the lowest pretest experiment of 15 and the highest value of 56 with an average value of 42.88%. While the results of the post test experimental results obtained by students learning outcomes are known to be the lowest value of 60 and the highest value of 100 with an average value of 84%. The statistical test used in this study is a regression test that is the f test, from the calculation found that Fcount is -0.21 and Ftable 2.45, it can be concluded that the media Y over X is linear patterned. Then do the hypothesis test, Fcount obtained is 80.06 while Ftable is 4, Because Because Fcount> from Ftable then reject H0 and accept Ha.
