Abstract
(Supervised by BENYAMIN LAKIT AN and SUSILA WA Tl). Sticky rice is commonly grown in Indonesia (Oryza sativa.). Indonesia has many types of local rice. One of them is Black sticky rice Toraja variety. But this black sticky rice is still low in production. The Efforts to increase production must be supported by the availability of optimal land because of the limitation, forcing marginal Jand to be opened as cultivated land, sticky rice cultivation in swamps usually use local wisdom-based technology, namely floating nursery to solve water problems that are still high at the start of the planting season. Rafts made from swamp grass that can affect the seedlings become submerge in the nursery media if too long floating on water, the duration of low tide also results delays in transplanting seedlings which can affect the yield. The study was conducted to determine the residual effect of height submerge at seedling media and the best seed age on the reproductive phase development and black sticky rice yields, also the interaction of these two factors, the experiment was conducted at an off-campus research facility located in Jakabaring (104046'44 " E; 3001 '35 "S), Palembang, South Sumatra from July 2018 to September 2018. Using factorial complete randomized design with two factor and three replications. The first factor is the seedling age consisting of three treatment : 14 Das (W l ), 21 Das (W2), 28 Das (W3 ). The second factor is the height submerges at seedling media which consisted of three treatments: 0.0 mm (R 1 ), 7 .5 mm (R2), 15 mm (R3), so 27 treatment combinations were obtained, each combination treatment consisted of three experimental bucket so total obtained 81 experimental units. Age treatment of seedling. has a very significant effect on grov.1.h variables such as plant height. leaf greenery, fresh stem weight, stem and leaf dry weight, and yield and yield components have a very significant effect on the number of grain per panicle, weight of grain per panicle and panicle density also the estimation of yield. The age treatment of seedlings significantly affected the number of tillers per clump at 2 weeks after primordia, fresh weight of leaves, percentage of filled and unfilled and the weight of l 000 grains. The residual effect only has a very significant effect on the leaf fresh weight variable. The interaction between re idual effects of height submerge at seedling media and seedling age significantly affected the number of tillers at week 2 after primordia, but did not affect other variables. The results of the study concluded that the development of the reproductive phase and the optimal yield of Tora
