Abstract
Currently, the cat is one of the animals that are kept by the public. Because of that, in various regions there are pet shops, both animal clinics and those that do not yet exist. In keeping cats, their health must also be considered in order to avoid diseases that can transmit to fellow cats and to their owners, because there are types of diseases that can transmit to humans. Therefore, an expert system for cat skin disease was developed so that it can help diagnose cats even though the vet is not in the clinic. This expert system uses the K-Nearest Neighbor and Certainty Factor methods where from the calculation of the K-Nearest Neighbor method the disease classification results are obtained, while the Certainty Factor method provides a percentage value of confidence in the diagnosis of the disease. This expert system obtains an accuracy value of 95% which is quite good.
