Abstract

This research aims to produce teaching materials based on Creative Problem Solving that can lead to mathematical abstraction of valid and practical types of student specialization. The subjects of this study consists 9 students on IX grade. This research applies the development study-typed research design study method with stages that based on Tessmer which are preliminary and formative evaluation stages. The stages consist of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one trials and small group trials. Data collection techniques that are used are walkthroughs, questionnaires and interviews. The result of the study shows that the developed teaching materials are said to be valid in terms of content, construction, and language based on comment and suggestions from the expert validation results and one to one percentage which is 77.5%. On the other hand, the result also shows that the developed teaching materials are practical in terms of attraction, easy to understand, and can also be used based on the results of small group trials with presentations obtained by 85%.
